Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control Orlando, core business areas are systems integration, aeronautics, space, technology services and global telecommunications. My duties for the Technical Information Center included product support, database administration, proofreading, editing, proposals, project management, classified document handling, desktop publishing, addition of software and hardware to site, and customer support. Experienced at online research using Dialog, DROLS, DTIC, Stinet, LexisNexis, IEEE, Proquest, Jane's Online, ASSIST, and OCLC. Certified in export control, labor charging, security briefing, foreign government, and handling NATO documents. I held a secret level security clearance.

At Intervoice-Brite, I managed the development, preparation, and presentation of contract proposals within the telecommunications software development industry with a 40% win ratio. I provided project management to design engineers and production personnel to ensure proper system configuration and schedule compliance. I developed financial models for each proposal, including hardware and software costs. I provided technical answers to RFP's, financial profit margins and gross margin analysis. I provided status reports on the Intranet of bid status; this included html, scanning of pictures, FTP, and database file structure. I provided proofreading of the Intranet and Internet pages to assure accuracy, as well as proofreading of all pre-submission proposal documents. Recommended purchase, installed and trained fellow proposal analysts on RFP Machine within proposal department.

My contributions to Seagate Software were most evident in the quality of the product collateral. I helped save thousands of dollars in re-printing costs by correcting typo and grammatical errors prior to production. After being on the team for a short time at Seagate/Veritas/Symantec, they nicknamed me "Grid-Eyes" for my excellent proofreading ability. They said I look at things from various perspectives "like a grid" and "nothing got by me." To this day, they still send me work to proof from their Orlando office.

Note: Seagate/Veritas is now Symantec

As the Senior Proposal Specialist at Harward Technical Enterprises (HTE), I contributed to the company's leadership position in the public sector market by refining the proposal format and rolled-out a quality assurance program that ensured all customer needs and expectations were met. I created a standardized corporate cost-pricing model to analyze (ROI) return-on-investment. This position allowed me to use my desktop publishing skills to graphically illustrate system configurations, while tailoring each proposal to the individual client. By consistently exceeding senior management expectations, I was promoted to a newly created position of Marketing Support Manager where I performed forecast analysis, contracts administration, tradeshow setup, presentation development, hardware/software upgrades, and coordinated all aspects of the sales and marketing support programs.

As a supervisor of twelve staff members at Michigan Technological University, we maintained account information for over 20,000 students. By preparing statistical reviews of account data we ensured adherence to university procedures and policy standards. I used my professional experience to manage monthly billing, inventory control, test scoring, and account logistics. My specialty in information systems increased our ability to streamline runstreams, program changes, data correction, and format conversions. I also taught a data entry course to incoming Freshmen, all while receiving my B.S. in Computer Science.
